I came to this work because I believe in human potential. To me, counseling is a small fire. Not large enough to light up a room at once, but steady enough to remind someone in the dark that warmth still exists. Healing and growth are not things I bring into the room - the capacity for both already lives within you. I see counseling as making room to explore what you’ve been through and who you’re becoming.

I work with adolescents and adults navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, and self-exploration. I welcome people from all backgrounds, including students, professionals, immigrants, athletes, and LGBTQIA+ community. Whether you’re carrying the past, facing ongoing stress, or navigating cultures and identity, you’re welcome as you are.

At my core, I practice from a person-centered, trauma-informed, and relational foundation. I draw from psychoanalytic and attachment-based perspectives, Internal Family Systems (IFS), CBT, ACT, and Narrative Therapy to fit your needs. Rather than seeing symptoms as problems to fix, I see them as meaningful ways of communicating how you relate to yourself, others, and the world around you.

I offer a collaborative space as a steady companion and reflective mirror, helping you find your voice, understand what you’ve carried, and reconnect with your strengths through insight and action. Having navigated different cultures and languages myself, I believe mental health cannot be separated from systemic and cultural contexts. I offer therapy in both English and Mandarin.

I hold an M.Phil.Ed. in Professional Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania, and a B.A. in Psychology from Mount Holyoke College. My clinical background spans community mental health, outpatient therapy, Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs), and infant observation training. My research explored motivation among STEM professionals, students, and student-athletes.

If this resonates with your journey, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
