Position Overview

Seattle Counseling and Wellness is seeking a fully licensed, EMDR-trained clinician to join our team in a full-time role that combines direct clinical work and supervision of associate-level clinicians.

This is an ideal position for a clinician who:

  • Is passionate about EMDR and trauma-informed care

  • Enjoys mentoring and developing early-career clinicians

  • Wants to be part of a collaborative group practice without managing business operations

You will maintain an active caseload while also providing supervision and consultation, particularly supporting clinicians incorporating EMDR into their work.

General Responsibilities

  • Provide short- and long-term psychotherapy to individuals; opportunities to work with couples and families

  • Maintain a minimum of 20 client sessions per week

  • Utilize EMDR as part of clinical services, when appropriate

  • Provide clinical supervision to associate-level clinicians, including support with EMDR case conceptualization and implementation

  • Complete documentation (intakes, treatment plans, progress notes) in a timely and compliant manner

  • Adhere to professional ethical standards (APA, ACA, NASW, etc.)

  • Participate in consultation meetings and contribute to a collaborative team environment

  • Engage in occasional community outreach and/or networking opportunities

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field

  • Fully licensed in the state of Washington (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist)

  • EMDR-trained (completion of an approved EMDR training program required)

  • Eligible and qualified to provide clinical supervision in Washington state

  • Experience providing psychotherapy to adolescents and/or adults

  • Strong working knowledge of DSM-5-TR

  • Commitment to providing culturally responsive care to diverse populations

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Preferred

  • Experience supervising associate-level clinicians

  • Advanced EMDR training and/or certification

  • Experience working with trauma and complex clinical presentations

  • Experience working with LGBTQ+ clients

  • Clinicians of color and those from diverse backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply

Compensation

$5500 – $8000 per month, depending on experience, training, and supervisory responsibilities

Work Environment / COVID-19 Considerations

Clinicians may work from home and/or from our U-District office. In-person sessions are available for those who prefer them.
