Ashley Kerr is a compassionate therapist who creates a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, relationships, and identities. She understands that healing is often nonlinear and deeply personal, and she feels honored to support clients as they move toward greater self understanding, connection, and authenticity.
Ashley practices from a strengths based Narrative Therapy approach, helping clients explore the stories they carry about themselves and discover the resilience, wisdom, and possibilities already within them. She collaborates closely with clients and follows their pace, creating space for even the parts of their story that may feel difficult, confusing, or wrapped in shame. Her therapeutic style is grounded in warmth, authenticity, curiosity, and collaboration, while also offering gentle challenge that supports meaningful growth.
Ashley works with children (ages 7+), adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
Child and Teen Therapy
Ashley works with children and teens experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, school challenges, ADHD, family changes, and emotional or behavioral struggles.
She believes play is a child’s natural language and incorporates play therapy techniques when appropriate to help children process big emotions and experiences. For children ages 7 to 11, she may integrate Play Therapy and Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) to strengthen parent child relationships and build practical tools for navigating behavioral challenges.
Ashley also partners closely with parents throughout the therapy process, recognizing that parents know their children best while also offering support, guidance, and psychoeducation.
With teens, Ashley often draws from Narrative Therapy, helping adolescents explore identity, meaning, and self understanding as they develop their own voice and story.
Therapeutic Approaches
Ashley uses an integrative therapy approach, tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs. Her work incorporates:
• Narrative Therapy
• Solution Focused Therapy
• Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
• Gottman Method for couples
• Experiential Therapy
• Mindfulness based and somatic approaches
She is especially passionate about working with relationship dynamics, queer and LGBTQIA2S+ identities, neurodivergent individuals, and parent child relationships.
