I work with adolescents and adults who are experiencing concerns related to depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and complex trauma, gender transition, sexual identity, neurodivergence, self-exploration and identity, and other issues. My therapy approach is empathic, compassionate, and feeling-focused. I practice with an eclectic theoretical perspective informed by Relational Psychodynamics, Object Relations, Existential Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Interpersonal Neurobiology. I help people understand how their present struggles are linked to past experiences.
Life is incredibly complicated and seems to become more complicated daily. In the face of this complexity, it leaves many of us feeling uncertain, afraid, and hopeless. I believe human suffering wells up from a myriad of different sources, whether it be from internal or external experiences. It is human nature to suffer, but more importantly, it is what we do with it that creates our life path. A major factor that may heighten your deep sense of pain is the lack of someone willing to be present in your pain, listen to your story, and help you process your experiences and feelings. People innately desire to be seen and have their stories witnessed. Unfortunately, many in society fear this intimate act of witnessing, leaving many to experience the void and pain of isolation in addition to their core suffering. One of the first and greatest steps toward healing is to have stories witnessed. Therapy is a contained and safe space to share your stories and process the feelings linked to your experiences. It is through sharing and processing stories that we can unlink from the past and move toward a future we desire.
I received my Master’s in Counseling Psychology, with a concentration in trauma and abuse, from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology in 2021. I am currently working to earn my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, with a concentration in neuropsychology, from Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara, CA.
As a psychotherapist, I hope to be a witness to your story, no matter what it is, no matter how dark or painful it may be. Through engaging with the myriad of stories you have probably been holding for a lifetime, we will work together, navigating the path as a team toward your goals for healing.
